The Moon Shine Party: The Summit Land Conservancy and Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter will host The Moon Shine Party, to be held on the night of a full moon, will illuminate the beauty of nature and the importance of water. Friday, September 12th

The Color Purple, The Musical: Wasatch Theatre Company will present “The Color Purple, The Musical,” Sept. 11-27, 2014. The Color Purple is a story of hope, a testament to the healing power of love, and ultimately a celebration of life. An adaptation of Alice Walker’s famous 1982 Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, the show features a joyous score using jazz, ragtime, gospel, blues and African music. Volunteers of America Silver Spurs Gala: Wear your favorite western attire and come ready for a fun night of games, auctions, dinner, drinks, and live music. Don’t miss this exciting night to celebrate our community supporters and to fundraise. Avenues Street Fair: The Avenues Street Fair is a celebration of the grand and diverse architecture, spirit and activism of the residents and local food, music and art. The 2014 Avenues Street Fair takes place on Fourth Avenue between I and N streets. Touch a Truck Family Festival: The Junior League of Salt Lake City will present the annual Touch a Truck Family Festival fundraiser, Sept. 13, 2014. Come climb on, explore, and learn about the trucks that make our city run! There will be ambulances, cherry pickers, fire trucks, construction equipment, and more.
