Borders and Migrations in Motion presented by the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art: There will be an opening reception and live performance, May 16, 2014. The exhibit addresses the U.S.-Mexico border and its unique geographic, political, social, and aesthetic contexts. Details: Running from May 16-Sept. 27, 2014 at the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art (20 S. West Temple, Salt Lake City).

Caring Connections will present “Seeds of Remembrance.” This year’s program is Grieving Toward a Hopeful Tomorrow, a night to help those remember their loved ones. The speakers will be Reverend Eunsang Lee and Reverend Yvonne Lee, speaking about the loss of their son. There will be a musical performance by DJ Jones and Sonja Sperling. Wednesday, May 21st

The “Domino Mexican Independent Film Tour,” showcasing new independent short films and features from Mexico. Tuesday’s screening of “The Man Behind the Mask” will be followed by a Q&A with the movie’s director, Gabriela Obregon. Details: Starts at 7 p.m. at Broadway Centre Cinemas (111 E. 300 South, Salt Lake City).

The Jewish Family Service will present “Taking Control of Life’s Final Chapter: Choosing Your Own Path for Medical Care,” May 21, 2014. Speakers will Jamie Brant, M.D. and Shaida Talebreza, M.D. both palliative care specialists who will focus on how communication with your doctor and family can help you take charge of your medical reality, treatment path, and end of life experience. Details: Starts at 7 p.m. at the McGillis School (668 S. 1300 East, Salt Lake City)

Monday, May 26th

Go Grey in May 5k Walk/Run/Roll to End Brain Cancer presented by the Utah Brain Tumor Alliance and Musella Foundation For Brain Tumor Research and Information.
