“I want there to be a place in the world where people can engage in one another’s differences in a way that is redemptive, full of hope and possibility.”
SLC Feminist is an online space of inclusion and respect, and I can’t think of a better way to do that than accepting guest pieces. The range of topics is endless, so feel free to write about your passions and areas of expertise. I only accept posts 750-1500 words long. Posts submitted via email should be pasted into the body of the email, not attached. I will not open attachments and your email will be deleted (this is to protect against viruses).
Please include instructions for how you want us to handle attribution. Some options people prefer:
- Anonymous-if you’re not ready to put your name on your work, that’s fine by us. We will let the world know that a brilliant person submitted the piece, but the information will end there.
- Pseudonym-do you want your piece published under your fantasy roller derby name or the name of your cat? Just let us know, we’d be happy to give credit to Esther Gin or the Goddess of Thunder.
- Full Name/Bio-you deserve recognition for your brilliance! Give us your name and 2-3 lines to describe yourself (feel free to give us a link to your personal site).
*We will NOT accept submissions that express a racist, sexist, classist, ableist, homophobic, transphobic, transmysogynist, cissexist, or victim blaming mentality. Kindly submit that garbage elsewhere
